At my favourite bicycle round along the polder of Bodenheim (lower center of image) and the Laubenheim reed (lower right), there is a small rest area with a wayside cross.
The area is open and often there are walkers and cyclists around, so you may need some patience for accessing the cache. It is not directly at the cross, but some meters away from it.
