Description
This is a multicache for people who can appreciate some urban beauty. You can start at any point, but if you begin at the start, you can see how far you've walked on the concrete edge next to the path, which is a nice feature. The entire cache is wheelchair-friendly, but the final location is a short distance off the path.
The Werkspoorpad has been here in the Werkspoorkwartier since 2018. The Werkspoorkwartier is located in the Cartesius area, which is in Utrecht.
The cache is very suitable to start from the train station. It's a five-minute walk from Utrecht Zuilen station to the starting point. As this is a business park, it will not be difficult to find a parking spot if you prefer using the car.
The Werkspoorpad is a walking route of about two kilometers around this interesting business area with many unusual and fun spots. It was high time for a small Geocache to give the walk some extra flair!

Not a classic example of aestheticism, but necessary nonetheless: a garbage dump, or waste separation station. From these benches, you have a view of a free tire pump location (worth driving by after the cache?) and, to the right of that, a "knijperhub." This is an interesting Utrecht phenomenon where Utrecht residents who want to help keep their neighborhood clean can pick up a free litter picker. If you stand on the Werkspoorpad and look towards the benches, you will see a number on the concrete edge next to the right-hand bench on the right. The digital root of this number is G. |
